From scientific studies I have read it seems the nice thing about being ugly or fat is most ugly fat people are oblivious to the fact. 90% of ladies with enormous cottage cheese legs continue to wear short shorts believing they look just fine. Like wise 99.3% of all ugly people believe they are not ugly and when queried state they "do not know" what its like to be ugly.

BTW - I have studied peoples self-ratings and, in general, I find that 90% of the people out there are blind when it comes to themselves. People that are super average rate themselves an 8 or 9 CONSISTENTLY.

Sure money &/or personality counts. But GENERALLY it is very hard to pick up a hottie in a club if you are average, while there are plenty of hot guys she is eyeing.
The personality side can only shine through once you are engaged in a convo... the trick is getting that convo going. If she is getting hit on every 10 minutes by guys she is more physically attracted to then you (the average guy) have very little chance.

I think it is hard on your self esteem. I was not ugly but I was overweight for a few years. And only average chicks would check you out(married). I was just there for a day, on my way though to Edmonton. I was with some guys who knew the city pretty well...as far as I know we just hung out in the downtown area, around office buildings, china town, shit like that.
