What's a khaki?

What is this thing you Americans call a khaki?

It seems to be

A an item of clothing
B a type of pants
C kinda trendy but now "over"

So what is it? Is it a green short or 3/4 pant?

Is there some kind of stereotype they fit it? I don't get it

khaki is a color as well as a material, kinda like a like whitish tan color, a lot of people wear these to work at offices and such, they are tighter called "Dockers", otherwise the more loose fitting ones have pockets half way down the leg and are called cargos

The noun "khaki" has one sense:
1. khaki -- (a sturdy twilled cloth of a yellowish brown color used especially for military uniforms).

The adjective "khaki" has one sense:
1. khaki -- (of a yellowish brown color).

What the fuck is wrong with them lol.

I've kind of grown out of the model though.
I found a store that sells nice pants in all these colours that have ass and leg space without having too wide a waist. They also have big pockets on the quads...

Sometimes I wear dress pants too, you know with the fold. But then everybody thinks I'm either flaming gay, a designer, or both. Maybe it's the green colour of them.

Oh please tell me you guys aren't wearing pants with pleats.....flat-front pants look soooo much better...
