whats a good dose for accutane??

Stay at 40mg/day for couple months and that will cure you. It may flare when you first start. Get some chapstick and use Tyler Liver Detox because it's tough on your liver.

is there somthing milder that i can use other than accutane.. i wanted monodox but that shit's too expensive.. but on the other hand it cant be a scrub or cream it has to be from the inside.. thanx ulter

NOTHING works like accutane. Once you use it to through the full cycle of about 6 months. You won't ever need it again. I used it 5 years ago and haven't needed anything since. It kills the oil ducts off that cause the acne.

Agree. I've tried everything under the sun for the past 2 years and nothing touched it except for accutane. Also, it wouldn't hurt to get some lab work done sometime while on it.

agree also. my back, chest and shoulders looked like I got blasted with a double barrel shotgun. three weeks of accutane and its 90% clear. I'm doing 50mg per day.

Accutane works. I ran it twice 3-4 years apart under the care of a dermatologist.

Side effects include depression and the occasional suicide. I got depressed and more agressive than usual. Three weeks without accutane and I was back to normal.

Monthly bloodwork is done to monitor liver function and cholesterol levels. Mine doubled.

Buy some Aquaphor ointment (like vaseline) for your lips and hands, and Cetaphil cleanser and lotion for your body(not the kind with spf). Soap will dry you out too much while on Accutane. Visine Tears for your eyes. Drink twice as much water as normal. Eat oatmeal to drop the cholesterol levels.

Good luck and don't kill yourself. If you get emotional remember it's just the meds, and consider stopping before it gets worse. Ask friends and family to let you know if you are acting different or overreacting over things you normally would not.

i am really, really concered about guys using chemicals like the accutanes without medical supervision. really, really, REALLY concerned.

going to a doc and being monitored doesnt cost much. hunting for a doc who wont busy your balls about roids or sniff too hard about your roid using habits is totally worth the payoff to your long term health.

accutanes are horrible fucking drugs

You could buy a 10 gallon drum of carmex and apply it 1 million times a day, YOUR LIPS WILL ALWAYS be dry and chapped on Accutane.

I was on 100mg a day. Works wonders.

Constantly applying Aquaphor ointment helps with the lips. It's available at pharmacies, walmart, CVS...

100mg is a hefty dose though
