I may just order UFC fights tomorrow night

canadianhitman said:Damn right it does....I'm two weeks in to a GH / var / low dose test cyp cycle, and workouts are going GRRREAT! I plan to get the maximum results possible.

So you're going to be more quirky than usual? I assume you're always drunk...you are Irish.BlueBird said:Getting drunk, so I'll be primed to visit the family.

Army Vet said:No actually. I am finishing up a business plan for my wife. We have been planning on having her open her own physical therapy clinic for years but the time was never right. Two of her old colleagues want to jump on board (we were specifically waiting for one of them because she is a very valuable asset) so now I am crunching the numbers getting everything ready. We are not 100% on board with this but it looks good thus far.
I've been wanting to open my own gym for a while too and in my 5 year plan I am working that in.
the_alcatraz said:Bro, just remember the first step you MUST take for ANY business is a feasibility study.
canadianhitman said:Very true...it's worth whatever it costs to get it done.

No, I shall be mean, in fact I shall be epically abusive.

Army Vet said:That was done a while ago. I did consulting work for the past two clinics she worked for so I am luck in this instance to know it inside and out. The critical issue with any outpatient medical facility is to get referrals but she has that down.
The gym on the other hand is totally different. Low margin, highly competitive environment especially where we are. That is down the road though and not a major concern at this time.
the_alcatraz said:gym is a bad choice tbh. i've done a study for a gym back home. you need to understand the demographics and psychographics of said region where the gym to to be built and find out if enough margin will arrise from the customers leaving the corporate gyms to join yours. You also need to understand your competition, their marketing plans, their target market, your target market, etc...you need to have suppliers (more than one) for equipment, maintenance, etc...you dnt want to have a single supplier, or else you wont have any negotiating power because of lack of alternatives....also, you need to outsource the juice bar in the gym, because maintenance and cleanliness is a hassle. that is still not considering the cleaning team at the gym, the coaches, the fitness instructors, the aerobics rooms, yoga, etc....salaries, fixed costs, overhead, electricity, water, rent, equipments, etc...u sure you will be making enough margin? gym memberships are extremely competitive, and hence the growth of corporate gyms, and the extinction of private small gyms...think about it, and if you have any questions about marketing or business planning, etc...i could be of some assistance![]()
Army Vet said:The gym my wife designed is tailored towards health and rehabilitation rather than say the traditional model established by Gold's. No juice bar etc. (at least tentatively). I do need to conduct some research on aquatics though. There is no TBI (traumatic brain injury)/neuro center within 100 miles that has an aquatic facility geared toward that demographic. The initial facility is well under 7 figures anyway (with no gym). All growth will be via internally generated cash flows so that is a limitation on what will happen down the road.
the_alcatraz said:Sounds good man...props of the feasibility study....keep us posted
Army Vet said:Excellent progress BTW.
What are your current stats?
