What would you do...If you could only add deca or test

I already posted a thread on this at CM but I would like to hear what you guys over here think...

I have enough for 8 weeks of BTG Anavar @ 20mg/day and can get either either Test or Deca to add to the anavar (this is all I have to work with).

Which one would you add if your goal was to get lean and how would you do it?

This would be my first cycle.

Ht 5'9
Wt 237
BF ~26%


Diet: Have recently dropped from over 30% BF and diet has been and will continue to be 5-7 meals, 180-230g Protein/day, 100-150g carbs, and 45-70g fat from flax, fish, lean meat, etc.

Training: 4 day split, working each muscle 1xweek lifting heavy. Reps b/w 5-8.

Cardio: 4xweek HIIT for 20-30 min

So how would you do it? ie doses, length of time?

How does this look?

Deca 200mg/week weeks 1-8
Oxandrin 20mg/day weeks 5-12
Nolvadex weeks 12-14 ???
 
deca 200mg wks 1-8
ox 40mg ed wks 9-12
ndex wks 13-15

if you want a jump start on the cycle run the ox for the 1st 4 wks, and run the ndex wks 9-11
 
20mg ED for 8 weeks is pointless in my opinion You will need 40mg with no odubt in my mind No offense your 237 at 26% bf. Thats a waste of anavar.. give it to me

Tahnks for the suggestions, that looks good. Only thing is that I thought that since it was BTG anavar, and since it would be my first time using...20mg/day would be enough. I guess it is either 8 weeks of 20mg, or 4 of 40mg....hmmm???

Crunches: Just give me your address and I will send them to you, they only cost about 1500....and personally I dont feel it would be a waste, actually ox is one of the better drugs when dieting according to the research I have done....
 
Drugs: If I were you, looking to preserve muscle while cutting fat, I'd just stick with the var at 20 mg per day. Save the other stuff for when you want to focus on packing on some muscle.

Diet: I like your calorie range, 2220-1570 kcal, for your weight. (I assume you are cycling high, low, and even medium calorie days.) If I could make a suggestion, I'd try to dial protein right at 200 grams, drop fat to 25% of total calories, and fill the rest with carbs. Your fat and protein sources sound good. Make sure you're eating low GI carbs with the exeption being immediately post-workout.

Training: I'm a big fan of periodization and your weight training certainly has it's function. However, at your BF% and with your goal of getting lean, you may consider testing out a few weeks of high-rep giant setting. You can use your same split, but try pumping away for 15 to 25 reps with virtually no pause between sets. Just cycle the exercises/body parts worked set to set. You might be amazed how well it can work.

The HIIT works very well for many people - just make sure you vary the intensity levels and/or duration from session to session for best results.

I have actually thought of eliminating the deca and going with just anavar. I figured that by doing this I might decrese my chance of retaining water etc. I actually and getting blood work done tomm. and will talk to the Dr. that is helping me out with this to see what he suggests, he specializes with aids patients and is constantly treating people with oxandrin, deca, and test. I have a feeling he is going to recomend either adding the test or deca but I wanted to see what you guys thought would be best so that I can give him my own input...

About the diet, and training. Thanks for the suggestions. I will definately try doing periods of high reps during my cycle. I feel taht continuosly changing your workout around is important so by throwing my body off during the cycle with a period of high reps, I hope to improve my gains....

20mgs of BTG Anavar is not a waste. It's the best there is.
That is exactly what I have heard and that is why I thought 20mg would be sufficient, specially to a first time user. I have heard incredible things about them BTG's so I am pretty excited to see if all the hype is true. Now how would you reccomend I split up the cycle...ie doses for how long....using it with either deca or test....

Cool bro, glad I could be of some help. Let me add some of my thoughts behind saving deca or test for later.


First, both test and deca have the potential to help you meet your goal.

However, I believe that if reducing bodyfat is your primary focus, you will not be in the position to take full advantage of the drugs. Considering the side effects versus benifits of both drugs, my philosophy says don't touch 'em untill you are ready to take full advantage of them.

In addition, the bloat you will see from the drugs will confound your ability for the subjective measurement of progress - a key to success in my opinion.
 
personally, i love the joint lubrication from deca.. it lead to incredible strength.

You are probably absolutely right but why is it so hard for me to just say no...;) ;) Knowing that I will have it available to me right now, from a pharmacy, I cant help but want to take advantage.... but, I would hate for water retention/bloat to actually hinder my progress.... :confused: On the other hand, I have heard others who have had success with deca while dieting.

BTW Do you guys think I will still see a strength increase even though I am dieting...
 
I'll make sure I eat BTG's til im full....

Actually just got some bloodwork done today to make sure everything was good before I hit the cycle....

I did: Lipid Profile, Complete Metabolic Panel, CBC, Total Test.

Should take about two days for results and if everything is good, I hope to start on monday. But...still gottta make up my mind on either test, deca, or none.....:confused: :confused: :confused:
