What to do with oats

I went to the giant eagle (big grocery store in eastern pennsylvania) and bought me some quick cook oats, now what do i do with them, they seem like a great diet food with some protein and lots of fiber!!! i just need to knwo how to eat them, thanks!
 
Here's what I do...

1. 1 cup of plain oats + 1.5-1.75 cups of water.
2. Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
3. Add 2 scoops of vanilla protein powder. Mix in well.
4. Microwave on high for 30-60 seconds, depending on how you like them.

Experiment...
 
ive been putting apple butter in them this week. gonna try apple suace, and mybe the protein powder too.
 
how in the heck can you guys drink oats in ur shakes? can someone share how to prepare this?

Throw them in a blender with the rest of the ingredients. For me, it's lots of whey protein powder, two tablespoons of flax oil, half a cup of frozen blueberries, half a cup dry oatmeal, a cup of water and a teaspoon of cinnamon.

The oatmeal gives the shake a nice texture. Just make sure that you blend it for a minute or more, not just a pulse or the oatmeal won't disintegrate and the shake will be too thick.
 
For the 1-minute quacker oats, just heat up 12-oz of water by boiling or heating for 2-3 minutes in the microwave. Add the water to 1 cup of oats with cinnamon. let cool and add in sweeteners. EAT!
