What the hell. Adderall makes me fall asleep?

Ihave taken aderall about 4 times in the past 2 months. And every time i got drowsy and tired. What the fuck is that about? The first 2 times, they were the same batch. I got a couple from my frined and took them on 2 different occasions. I figured he gave me something else, so i got some from my buddy who has a prescription. I saw them come out of the bottle, so i know what they were. Again, drowsy. What gives?
 
DONT KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED BEING THAT ADDERALL IS AN AMPHETAMINE. WHAT COLOR OR MG WERE THEY?

the first batch were small pink ones. The second were blue ovalls.
 
How extraordinarily bizarre, addy normally turns me into one wired asphalt cowboy.

Being drowsy and tired is a common withdrawal effect, not direct side effect.

YOU SURE YOU DIDNT TAKE XANAX??? BLUE ADDERALL IS 10MG. THE 20 AND 30'S ARE BOTH ORANGE (NO WHERE CLOSE TO PINK). HOWEVER, XANAX COMES IN WHITE, PEACH, AND BLUE (BLUE OVAL), COLORS.

isnt' a calming affect supposed to happen to those with ADD? supposedly you'll get jacked up off of adderall if you do not have ADD.

P.S. please send me adderall.
 
now that i think of it Kayne, the little ones were more of an orange color.

I DONT HAVE ADHD BUT I HAVE A VERY LIGHT CASE OF ADD. IT REALLY ONLY AFFECTS MY STUDYING. SO I TAKE IT TO STUDY. IT DOESNT GET ME JACKED UP. IT MAKES ME CONCENTRATE. THE CALMING EFFECT YOU ARE TALKING IS SOMETHING IN THE DRUG FOR AGGRESSION. MOST PEOPLE WITH ADHD ARE HIGHLY AGGRESSIVE HENCE THE CALMING EFFECT. IT NORMALLY MAKES ME A BIT NICER WHEN I'M ON IT. I DONT GET AGGRAVATED AS EASILY.

WHERE THE HELL IS CASAVANT....HE CAN EXPLAIN THIS SHIT FOR DAYS. I'M TOO LAZY.

20MG AND 30MG ARE ORANGE. THE 20'S ARE OVAL SHAPED AND THE 30'S ARE ROUND (WAFER) SHAPED. THE BLUE ONES ARE 10MG. IF YOU ACTUALLY DID TAKE ADDY, IT IS REALLY STRANGE THAT YOU GOT DROWSY. THEY ARE AN AMPHETA S/COMBO WHICH BASICALLY IS A PRESCRIPTION SPEED (AMPHETAMINE).

Maybe i am more fucked up than i know. Poop
 
I take 20mg and about 20 minutes after i take it i fall asleep and then i wake up and feel great and i'm able to focus. When i use to take it I was in school and i had something specific I needed to focus on and i would just start doing what ever i needed to be doing right after taking the pill but i notice now that i take the pill and then take a nap i don't feel as shaky or jittery, i think i feel a lot better if i take a 30 to 40 minute nap after taking the pill. i honestly don't know why it makes me sleepy but my theory is if you let yourself give into that sleepy feeling at the start then you will become even more sleepy or fall asleep but if you have something you need to focus on don't give into the sleepy feeling and you will start to feel the adderall working.
 
I'm taking dexedrine and alertec to stay awake because i have hypersonia.. and for sleeping i try everything..some make me too drowsy the next day and some just make me calm and dont make me fall asleep.. i try adderall instead of dexedrine to stay awake the day but it make me fall asleep.. i try a second time.. the same things.. buts its supposed to give energy and fell you more awake.. I don't understand why it do that to me but i found my sleeping pill XD I have to talk to my doctor soon about that :P (adderall 10mg XR.. blue capsule pill)
 
Incredibly old thread but nevermind. Look, if you TRULY have ADD/ADHD, amphetamines have a basically "paradoxical" effect on your brain chemistry. Remember, your problem is you can't focus, your attention is scattered. Amphetamines will NOT hop you up, they will calm you down (the reason you would get in trouble at school, because you're all over the place, bouncing off the walls, incapable of staying on task for more than 10 seconds at a time). So if amphetamines knock you out, you probably have low frontal low function, i.e., ADD. You calm down and get dozy on uppers because you're frontal lobes are finally getting sufficient blood flow, which is how the REST of us (i.e., those who get jacked on uppers) perceive the world.
 
yeah I level right out on adderall...I don't get sleepy I just get...smoooooth
 
im on 20mg adderall xr ..1) I hate that I finally went for testing on my adhd but only because I never believed that Adderall or similar drugs could fix my crazy active brain 2) because I hate that im dependant on a drug to concentrate However, literally the first day I was on it my entire world changed...the procrastination and inability to "focus" were completely gone. Ive been a monster at my job (tech support manager) and I dont interupt people constantly. I can listen to someone talk and remember what they said. I have played with not taking it, and its like the book flowers for algernon...after a day im the way I was.
I find it incredible that someone could fall asleep on it....if I didnt remind myself id only need to sleep a few nights a week.

It is weird, that once on it I actually chilled out, never hyper etc.

Small pink ones is what I take... 20mg bro! I can't believe u get drowsy its basically prescribed speed?? Wtf??? U must be a bawse!!

What your referring to is ADD meds such as ridlin. That will have the adverse affect on someone who doesn't have ADD. Adderall is speed basically and should boost anyone

Haha reminds me of the days of ripping rails and seeing who can bench the most and do the most pullups / pushups . Definitely make some poor decisions while being young and dumb
