Well, one thing that I know would help if I want a woman is to look good, and also have some interests/hobbies.

So why not kill 2 birds with one stone? I'm going to get back into working out regularly again. In senior year of highschool I was a fit 163 lbs, 9% bodyfat, at 5'9".

Then came college and I stopped working out entirely, because school made me busy and not in the mood to work out. I cant explain the sudden shift of motivation.

Anyways, I'm gonna get back into it. Right now I weigh 183 lbs, holy shit!! Thats 20 lbs heavier than I was 2.5 years ago! I havent lifted very regularly since then, so I doubt that I gained any muscle (probably lost some) and as you can guess I've gained a lot of fat. Instead of being a 31" waist, I'm now a 34" waist.

So what the heck should my ideal body weight be at? If I were in the same shape as before would I weigh 163 again? Or is there a chance that I've grown since I was 18? (I'm 20 now) I havent gotten taller, thats for sure. And I havent gotten stronger I dont think, lol.

------------
Cliff Notes:

-I havent worked out in 2.5 years, and I'm going to start up again.
-I used to be a solid 163 lbs (end of High School), 5'9", 9% bodyfat. Now I'm 183 lbs, same height, and I dont wanna know the BF, lol. Waist used to be 31", now is 34" :(
-What kind of weight have I packed on since then? Would it be unreasonable to want to weigh 163 again? (If I liked how I used to look then)

Once you start losing weight, your enthusiasm will soon blossom like a flower in the sun after a fresh rain. Just start working out and take it from there. Don't worry about the scale. You'll start looking and FEELING better within 2 weeks and it's all over after that. Flower.

lol @ Cliff Notes.

Bro, don't think of weight in terms of numbers. Go by how you look, how clothes fit, etc.

If you're going to worry about a number, worry about bodyfat %. :)

:lmao: I know that might seem like a good goal for some on this board, but I dont have the desire to be big. I would rather be small, muscular, and fit, like a ladies man.

I guess the scale doesnt concern me all that much. As long as I can get rid of my man boobs, obtain a six-pack, and just have a really nice tight physique.

I just have found the scale to be something thats very tried and true, and easy to use. I mean when I am weighing myself on a scale, I find that I am a lot more conscious about my health. Even though it doesnt always factor in things like water or muscle, etc, I still find that it helps keep me on guard.
Between a scale and a mirror, you can usually tell quite a bit about yourself.

a lean 165 would look decent, I'd shoot for 185 though as an ultimate long term goal. Sub 10% bf

if you're shooting to get bigger or if you're not going to be meticulous about your progress and just want to look good, i'd say forget about scales, measurements and all that crap and only use the mirror. when you look the way you want to, step on the scale and look at the weight. that should give you something to shoot for, if maybe in the future you'll get out of shape again.

How busy can you possibly be with a null-set social life? Hit the gym, fatty.

And if you have an ugly face, take your shirt off as much as possible.

Bigger is not always better. Everyone is so consumed with size these days, bunch of fatasses walking around waiting for a heart attack. At 5'9", 160-170 is a great weight depending on your bone structure. You can look big and cut at that weight if you have the right bone structure, which I assume you do.

WELL 5FT9

I THINK 175 would be PREFECT FOR U
I SAY THIS BECAUSE A FRIEND OF MINE IS NOW 175 and his cut and lean and looking good, Just like Justin Timberlake

For your height u dont want to be tooo big, but you want to be able to hold your own
i am 5ft11 and weigh 190, and most guys bigger than keep checking my out only because, i am in proportion to my height and everything looks good

I weighed between 160-175 for many years, I bulked up some when playing college football, but my normal weight was between 165-175 and I looked big, had big arms, big chest, small waist, had a great physique. I could bench press 350+ and squat over 500, was lighting quick. My strenght hasn't gone up in relation to the amount of mass I've gained. When I hit my thirties, I decided that I wanted to be a freak and now I'm up to 210. I look even bigger because I don't have big bones. Go for whatever makes you comfortable and happy. Being smaller is healthier and less risky in the long run. And I wonder if my old self could kick my new self's ass. LOL. I'm bigger, and stronger now, but I was so fucking fast back then, that I could hit someone 10 times before they could even react.
