What or who do you train for?

Is it for health, sports, yourself, to prove something to someone,or maybe just for vanity? Me, prob. 50% health and 50% vanity.
 
For myself! I like to take care of myself. It makes me more confident and I also feel a lot better physically (certainly sleep better).
 
For the overall feeling of being in shape. I packed on 40+ lbs of fat when I had a hernia a few years back. Fought that for some time. I never wanna feel like a lump of shit again. I look at pictures from that time and think "WTF was I thinking" I was a fat POS. Oh yeah, for sports also.
 
When I graduated HS I weighed 120lbs and NO; you are not popular at 120lbs. So I guess at first I trained to shed those old demons. Now that HS is almost 20 years (yikes, can that be right!) in the rearview mirror and after a 10th and 15th year reunion where I was the most phisically fit person in the room; I think I just do it because I like it. Nothing left to prove, there is no bodybuilding career, Olyimpics, Baseball or Football career ahead for me. I do it because my three year old daughter likes to "workout" with her Daddy.
