What is your rep speed?

and why do you do it? Are you doing a Westside style of training, because that incorporates different rep speeds and range? Do you just do a normal workout and vary rep speed or stay the same?

Are you explosive or slow and steady? Which is better?

Also does Francis Ford Copolla post on the boards? thanks.

You're an errand boy, sent by grocery clerks.

Well, it depends on the exercise. For the DB bench I take up to 20 seconds per rep at the final set. Don't laugh, I just can't get them up faster.

this is C and C, u should know by now that no one knows anything about training....

as is very evident from your avatar

normally I use a 3-1-3 speed, but now am doing a programme called 'bigger-faster-stronger' so I am doing my reps a lot more explosively

That`s sort of what I do but it`s SO hard to go slow on the concentric part when you can explode up and do the rep instead of FAILING and going slower. So, I find myself increasing speed when In doubt.

That`s fine, as long as I get a tip.
Okay.

I incorporate variety in my rep speed / rep numbers. Light workouts (speed) vs Heavy workouts (mass).

Why U ax?

Just wanted some info on what you guys do. Actually I was`nt really referring to Westside training (I`m assuming that`s what you do) because you follow a certain procedure. I was wondering if there was one rep speed/scheme that was better than the other?

I know your answer will be ALL OF THEM together at specific times with certain exercises, rotating will be best. blah blah. I want the easy answer, damn it! lol

I really get my best results from a 2 seconds up, 3 seconds down cadence

it is slower than you realize

fast explosive, recruits more of the muscle fibers that produce more mass!!!

studies show the most of your muscle is built on the negative portion of the rep! :lmao:

just imagine if gonelifting was at 9,999 and I had bumped this, we wouldn't even care about the topic
