s, you are most afraid of moving forward

Have you ever noticed that you're more concerned about making the "right" decisions than many people around you when it comes to your future? Or do you sometimes worry more than you should about committing to your personal or professional goals or feel anxious that you'll never really be successful? If so, you're not alone. There are many people who share your fear of moving forward.

It can be a real strength to recognize your fears. By being aware of the things that frighten you, you can assess whether fear is helping you or negatively impacting your life. For instance, a fear of moving forward may sometimes motivate you to take action in a positive way, like by experiencing a wider variety of things than others.

However, fear's negative aspects can sometimes be more damaging than you realize. Living with fear not only prevents you from living life to the fullest; it can also have a significant negative impact on your energy, health, and your close relationships if not kept in check.

The good news is that you can face your fears. There are simple things you can do right now to see that recurring fearful thoughts don't keep you from living the life you want to live.

I don't need to take a test. I'm scared that I'll someday settle for what's comfy instead of a life that I'm passionate about. I'm afraid of not living up to my own expectations. I'm afraid I'll let people walk all over me and steal my happiness.

And I'm quite afraid of ketchup.

Not being good enough. Not doing my best. Not giving it everything that I have...

Ok...I'll take the test now...lol

Clint, your primary fear is not belonging
Did you know?

People who fear not belonging tend to have easy-going personalities and may also be more willing to compromise than most others are. Unfortunately, most manifestations of your fear aren't as positive as this one.

Corn - the next step is for the God's to come down and literally beat you over the head...do you hear the message my friend?!?!?!?;)

My greatest and only real fear is the death of my husband or children...that is the only thing that could happen that I am sure I could not recover from. Everything else just doesn't matter.

Have you ever noticed that you're more concerned about how others perceive you than many people around you? Or do you sometimes worry more than you should about doing things perfectly or feel afraid that others will mock you in some way? If so, you're not alone. There are many people who share your fear of not being good enough.

Wasn't that shit out of "The Wizard of Oz" or something? Damn, that is a seriously creepy movie. I'm serious as a heart attack- that movie is fucked up and I can't stand to watch it.

WOW someone who understands why i cannot watch that movie, it creeps the hell outta me....especially those flyin monkeys EEK:(

and I thought I was the only one...seriously, every emotional problem that I have can be traced back to those damn flying monkeys and the rest of that movie for that matter. I would allow my children to watch an R rated movie before I would allow them to watch the Wizard of Oz...

Wasn't it flying ROBOT monkeys that frightened you?

granted, robots are scary - but they are programmed and built to be that way.
live ones that go bad, growing wings and killing after learning to use a blowtorch and fly with it... now that is scary.

I try to avoid use of the word "evil", but I think it applies to that movie.

My cousin humms the da da da da da da (witch song) from oz every time she sees her mother's car coming down the street to her house...it is hysterically funny because it is sooooo true - my cousin is 45 years old btw...

Eh, maybe. I dunno.

That test is way off! It said I was afraid of not being good enough! If it was accurate it would have said, you are the fucking best, you are not afraid of anything, and you are ruggedly handsome!

that test is so fucking stupid. I checked the most anxiety based response (all true btw) on about 70% of the questions, and the 2nd most on 10% more.

I got the same response, moving forward.

Fucking stupid. I'm going to take another buspar.

that sentence reaks of happy scrappy's influence [/B][/QUOTE]

No actually, I have an odd fear of ketchup. I have for years. I'm not afraid of blood. I'm not afraid or other tomato products, but ketchup makes me nervous.

Matt-- in regards to what will stop me, I will. Ultimately I'm in control of my own life. I can choose what I will and will not tolerate. I can choose how to let others treat me and how I deal with situations as they arise. I won't wander through life bitching that it's not fair and playing victim. That's a waste of time.
