What is with staring guys??!!?

I moved to California from the East Coast almost a year ago and one thing baffles me about this place- the fucking guys STARE all the time. It is really annoying, everytime I take my girl anywhere I catch like at least a dozen guys staring at her like wolves. I mean damn, have some fucking manners for Christ's sake! I dont get it, back east you would get an ass beating for some shit like that. It is like people here are so mellow that the dont fear a beating. Anyone else experience this? My girl is hot but it's not like she is a model or something, so why must all these assholes be such pricks? I appreciate when another guy or girl looks but be respectful about it you know!? The key is to not get caught looking, these dipshits full on stare and just keep on staring, even after I give them a death look. I guess I need to get hugely jacked(I am 5'11" @195 now), although I'm not sure that would matter to these guys. Not to be racist but the Mexicans here are the worst, they have no respect for women at all and no respect for the guys that are with the women. These guys are so freakin rude that it boggles my mind. A group of them will just sit there and gawk at a girl. It really buggs me and my girl too, we have considered moving away to somewhere else- that is how much it bugs us. It sucks that women are made to feel uncomfortable just walking around minding their business. Do any of you experience this?
 
at least the guys that have checked me out have kept it on the dl, they dont stare they usually just do a quick look. I think I would rather deal with gay guys looking at me rather than every guy staring at my girlfriend. It gets annoying.

just fyi, good luck meeting anyone that is truly down to earth, and not caught up in their cell phone/internet lives. down here, everyone is in a rush. you can't change southern cali, it changes you.

Being a Southern Cali native, the people that have been raised and live here are just so superficial. I try to not be like that. then you got the people that come here from other places of the US or the world, and those are the nice people, because they appreciate Southern California, the weather, the things to do, whereas the natives take it for granted.

I too take San diego for granted, but I also appreciate it when I leave san diego.

Old women stare at me alot. i mean really old women. I guess its cuz i'm now an entrepenurial stripper at the old folks home. at least someone's staring.
 
right on supernav. yeah, I don't like the people for the most part, which is why the nitelife ain't for me over here because the superficial I am better than you attitude is increased tenfold. otherwise, the weather, things to do here, way of life supercede all the fakeness here in socal.
 
Well then I can imagine how it will be at the clubs. I haven't been out clubbing here yet but I was planning on bringing my girl to 4th & B and On Broadway- is it really shitty or what?
 
after hearing my buddy bitch about cali, i don't want to live there anymore. people who can take that shit with a grain of salt, like with mexicans staring and all that are a different breed. I myself would rather head north to northern oregon or washington.

Well, I have trained in martial arts my whole life so I'm not too worried about fighting, in fact I enjoy it on ocassion-hell I am Irish after all..hehe :) , anyway- there is a differance between guys checking out your hot woman and rudely staring. Anyone living on the East coast knows what I mean. It is the lack of respect that pisses me off. I dont stare like a retard when I see a hottie. I guess these are also guys that could never get their own hottie so that is why they do it.

If you are pissed about the guys staring when you're just out in public with your woman,you will be ready to go Charlie Manson out in the clubs,lol.The guys with a few drinks in them will walk right up to your woman in front of you and lay down the rap to her like you're an invisible piss-ant.I had to quit the clubbing years ago,otherwise I'd be in the state pen,lol.

BTW,I think it is extremely disrespectful when guys do that shit.I would never direspect a man(or his woman) like that,as I know exactly how much it enrages me.It's a total slap in the face.
 
I moved to So. Cal after being in NYC my entire life. The first girl I build a relationship with here, tells me we're finished because I confronted some guy gawking her and putting his arm around her. Right in front of me no less! The first time, she removed the dude's hand herself. He went right back and that's when my blood started to boil! Almost slapped the shit out of the mo fo, but kindly asked him to leave us alone. While all this is going on, she has this shit-eating grin on her face that her man's being, well, a man. Later, she tells me I was disrespectful to her. WTF!! :confused:

Seems like many So. Cal native women crave the attention, the men give it them, and it all feeds upon itself. FYI: this was in San Diego. Just my $0.02.

i'm in texas, and this happens to me all the time with the illegals. sometimes it can get frightening. i really think that most people don't know they are doing it and don't know how uncomfortable they make people.

Easy does it, man. Staring is an institution over here. I never noticed that in So cal but anyway... She´s hot so guys like to look. You poor baby!
 
At least some of you can relate to what I am saying. Some guy comes up and does that shit to my women they are getting a beat down, plain and simple. It's not like I am some hot head who cannot handle confrontation or other guys advances. It is simply rude and sooner or later some dumb ass guy will get a broken nose for it. I have been going to clubs for years with my girl and hardly ever had a problem like that- so if that shit happens here I just wont go to clubs. You go out to the top clubs in NYC,Boston,Tampa,Miami-even LA- wherever and you will very rarely have dipshit guys acting like that if they see the girl is with someone. Even LA isn't like that too much- when we go there I dont have the problem, just San Diego mainly. It is like the guys here dont expect anything to happen from their rude behavior whereas when I lived back east guys knew that there would be a fight if they stare(and often was-I saw a good 4-5 throwdowns at the Bennigans I used to haunt,all over guys looking at other guys girls). Why do guys here act like that? Are they so mellow that they dont forsee a fight or are they just so stoned and blitzed out from surfing all day that they dont care? Is it just that they all follow this code so no one fights and they act how they want? It is confusing behavior to me. There seems to be allot of frontin' here like guys want to act/look hard but they are really pussies who have never been in a fight before. If it is an institution like was said then I guess I will try to not let it bother me but I do draw the line at guys actually trying to talk/chat her up. That is not gonna fly.
Cali is a world onto itself. The laws are even completely differant- it is liberal conservatism to the max!
Shit, I have a concealed permit in the state I used to live and used to carry everywhere, now here in Cali- forget it- they are like nazis- no carry permits, you cannot even carry a firearm in your car without putting the ammo in a seperate locked box. Rediculous. I had to sell of a bunch of my assault rifles and handguns when I moved here because the laws are so strict about owning them. Maybe I should move to Arizona or Colorado. Too bad cause So Cal has some really cool things about it but the people are not one of them. Anyway, I am not crying cause I got a hottie girlfriend, hell who dosen't want that but damn- keep your freakin eyes in your head! Dosen't that bug you ladies when guys do the wolf stare?

Jeez, there's a difference between a guy taking a look, maybe staring for a few seconds, and acting like they've been in space for 50 years like Ripley and not seen a woman, only not in hypersleep. I hate guys who act like they've never seen a female before - I don't mind if they subtly check me out, but I'm not THAT hot and high school was a long time ago for some of them - no need to act like Wayne and Garth....

there is a difference between someone casually looking at someone to admire them, and to blatantly follow them around chattering in a different language. to blame a woman for putting on makeup, fixing her hair, working out to look and feel good, or even to have plastic surgery is a typical attitude lots of men have, and these are probably the same men who place the blame on a woman when she is raped.

Of course, no one is saying that type of staring is exuseable. On the other hand, if you go out and buy a set of unnaturally large boobs, you've got to know that some heads will turn and some eyes will pop out. It goes with the territory.

If i remember correctly this thread was just asking why some people stared?? i simply posted an answer, my opinion, and how i felt about a situation, and suddenly this has turned into a debate, where i'm being singled out about my unnaturally large tits. if you have a problem with me in any way, feel free to pm me about it. otherwise, back off of me and my fucking boobs.

Texgirl, I'm sorry if I got too personal, but you were lamenting about folks staring at you when it's obvious why they do. If you go in to have your breasts enlarged, and yours are pretty big, it is going to bring stares. I'm not saying this is right or justified, but you had to know it would happen. Man, I'm with you on this one bro. Every time I go out with my girl I get these idiots blatantly staring at my girl it's so obvious and she doesn't even dress provocatively.

When it really gets to me I just go up to the guy and make him feel real stupid by saying "Why don't you take a fucking picture, it will last longer" Usually they are fumbling for words "Uhh Uhh man I wasn't staring at her"

Try sitting in the crowd and having your girl do the Hawaiian Tropic contest. I just laugh at all the drunk ass fools drooling over her though. But if we were just out in public and guys were doing it, I would get upset also

it is VERY uncomfortable to be gawked at by drooling fucking idiots.

Here in NYC on the street, its VERY bad. I combat this problem by wearing sunglasses and a walkman whenever I leave somewhere.

I know its hard, but try to ignore these assholes, basically they are just looking for a response.

All I´m saying is you chose to include certain things within the frame for whatever reasons. SO, if someone were to write, "nice jugs" or whatever, you might not care for the comment, but it shouldn´t surprise you. This just has to do with the point I was making about girls wearing make up or wearing sexy outfits and then getting all offended when guys look.

Of course, I have to shoot a hole in my own theory and say I didn´t really notice your breasts in your avatar until someone mentioned it. Take it easy, TEX.
