What is the most intense movie you can remember?

My son and I were watching Poltergiest last night and the all time MOST INTENSE scene for me was when the little boy woke up at night and noticed that the clown doll had disappeared. Then came the part where he had to check under both sides of his bed..... and then......

Two other scenes that stand out are:

In ALIENS when the little girl Newt was under the floor panels in the water and the aliens were closing in on her, you could see them on Ripley's monitor and then one silently rose up behind her out of the water.

In SIXTH SENSE when the kid was pissing in the bathroom late at night, his breath turned cold, he was shaking and then suddenly the lady walked past the door.

What is yours? It can be scarey or suspenseful.

Well: the movie wasn't really intense. But I would have to say that if I lived in a movie it would have to be "They Live" with Rodney Piper.

That would be the best way to describe my day to day life..and that by itself is pretty intense.

so you're surrounded by aliens and Roddy Piper?

I was talking about particular scenes, not entire movies.

The Exorcist was intense all the way around.

The opening minutes of When A Stranger Calls was intense too.

ok then the beginning of saving private ryan.

also the entire move breakdown with Kurt Russel. I was yelling at the screen when I first saw it.
