What is the Market Time for a Used Car?

curling

New member
I have had it listed for about 4 weeks now. I recently just dropped the price to 19900 for a 03' suburban. How long is the market time for a used car?

Gas prices should be considered too. Suburbans aren't a big seller now. You have to cut the engine off at the gas pump to get them full.

Dude, price has dropped 50 cents a gallon around here. And it actuallly gets 18 or so on the highway which ain't that bad.

I see you are already conditioned into thinking gas is cheap now. 18 ain't that great.

A suburban? You'll be lucky to give it away.

Worst time of the year to sell a car.....regardless of gas prices, or the fact that it's a hog.

FYI - 90% of the Suburbans and Tahoes sold (new) in the U.S. are sold in Texas and Oklahoma, so to get a better response place the ad on the internet...so different markets see what you have for sale.

Supply and Demand. You are probably asking too much for the vehicle or not advertising it properly. Or both

You really gotta learn to laugh at yourself. The fact that you are you is funny.

Oh I can laugh at myself alright but I just can't laugh about losing money. See what I mean,

Pitbull are you saying to advertise in Texas or outside of texas?

4x4's and trucks are dropping immensely in value. This also due in fact to car markers also dropping prices of new trucks and vans. The market adjusts accordingly.

At the dealership, vehicles go straight to the auction (those that won't sell quickly) or on the lot (those that will sell quickly).

Once on the lot ... a max of 3 months. Then to the auction.

I'd apply same to a sale by owner.
