i'm not talking prison... Jail.. county jail. what is a day in county like? what happens? what freedoms do they get? they cant just sit in a cell and sleep

You sit there with all the other folks in for the day, everyone is stanking, food they serve is horrible, everyone has there cool story of why they are in there, some folks are passed out sharing a bench that only fits 1, some folks are bloody, some are geeking, some are scared, I have spent one night in county, I remember sleeping in some hardened pasta that was thrown on the floor about 2 hours before my arrival, remembered I was in there with a guy who was there for fighting at a family reunion, turns out in all the other holding cells was the other part of the family who got into fights, they were talking alot of shit, "cousin, I'm figging to bust your ass nigga", shit was crazy. I recall spelling "marijuana" on the wall with my fingerprint ink that was still on my fingertips, wonder if its still there? OH, I was in Hunstville Texas, you know, the death penalty capitol of the cosmos. peacemadbomber31 said:

Well for me it sucked. I was there a total of 4 days. Boring. No TV where I was. A lot of card playing and hardly any food. The lack of food was truely the worst part. People usually asked what you there for especially when you don't look like a "typical" criminal.

In my own experience, the Fulton County Jail sucks major ass. I was the tank for 2 days. Main reason was because the first day the corrections officers were holding a birthday party for a co worker in the front and not processing bail postments. I should have been bailed out in 4 hours. Or after 12 hours given a bed and hot food in a cell. But no... I sat down on those fucking plastic seats for two days. And get this, they never took my property away. I still had my cell phone, jewelry, money in my pockets, pocket knife, and Nintendo Gameboy.
Funny thing was, I asked someone what they was in for and he replied that he got picked up for soliciting prostitution. At this comment another man piped up and said he was the same. Another man still, asked if it were down on Ponce Street. The previous guys said Hell yeah, then about 35-40 more guys started speaking up and saying they were busted in the same location by the same decoy. I was thinkng "Damn, what did this bitch look like...???"

Damn bro, you need to get a new ex. Sometimes they seperate you due to age, transference priorities, etc...
When I was in, there was a 14 year old boy - yes!! 14 - who had been in the tank for 6 days. Yes! 6 days. He never got a bed,shower, hot food, nothing. Just sitting in the tank on that plastic seat for 6 days. Waiting to be transfered to juvenile.

it could have been worse, but it was certainly not anything i would ever want to go through again
fortunately for me , it was a veryyy small county jail and there was only 2 other women besides me.
one was in there for speed , the other was just some silly bullshit
food sucks, hours are bad, u wake up at 5 eat, eat at 11, and 5 again, so theres a time lapse that will piss u off if u are used to eating more frequntly than that. didnt bother me much.
u sleep on a cold metal bed cuz they steal all your sheets .
bitches put me on suicide watch too so they took my shoes and everything else that i would normally be entitled to
there was one tv station , only showed soap operas for all i remember, but it had lines in it so bad it gave me a headache. that was the first time i actually had to sit and watch a soap opera.. uggh
we did get some free time out of our cells in the /exercise' area, which was just an open room with a handball and a toilet .

From what he's told me, jail is:
-No shoelaces or belts
-A paper suit if you're a risk to yourself or others (or if ya come in naked).
-Bologna sandwiches and diluted decaf coffee.
-Regular fights.
-Pepper spray.
-An isolation cell with "the chair", where they can strap down the unruly ones.
-And lots of people with no bladder or bowel control.
Man, the stories he tells....

He said at night guys would gang up on one guy tie his mouth up with the bed sheets and all you can hear his sweeking and little yells throughout the night.
