What is a Torrent?

What is a torrent? Also, which ones are recommended by members who use them to download applications?

The best torrent that I use is Azureus

Once that is installed, go to www.torrentspy.com or any of the other major torrent sites and search for whatever you are looking for.

Once you have found it, download the torrent file and open it with Azureus. it will open and then ask you where you want to download the file. Once that is done, it will download the file

Note: When searching for something to download, try to find the file that has the most seeds. Seeds are people that keep their torrent program open so that people can download files from them. The more seeds there are, the faster the download usually is

That seems complicated compared to something like Limewire no ?

I agree - seems complicated to but everyone at work swears by it for music more than limewire

Limewire has been ok so far for me plus it will tell you if a file is corrupted.
