I personally always hated christmas, because in my life things were given to me just to be taken away as punishment when a very bad man in my life didn't get what he wanted. I always thought it was a shity way to get leverage...but now, because i can see how my daughter lights up on christmas morning, how happy and excited she gets the few days before and the morning of, has changed my look on things. I can now enjoy christmas as long as i don't receive anything...LOL

I'm not "into" holidays anymore per se........hubby & I no longer exchange gifts for Birthdays or Christmas..........

I'd rather spend time with family & friends as opposed to running around buying a bunch of crap they don't really need.

What bothers me most about Christmas is how it has lost its meaning & how it has become so commercialized.

Christmas eve, Christmas, New Years eve, New Years day, Thanksgiving and pretty much any holiday where they close the bars. `cept when it's warm out.

I really always liked Halloween because I could dress up like a dominitrix and no one would know it was me (quiet girl from the midwest who smiles a lot so they'd never suspect). Definitely had some of my best times out at the clubs or at Fantasy Fest.

I agree w/ the Labor Day thing. Kinda really don't like Valentine's Day because I never seem to be dating someone on that day. I also don't really like my bday so much because it means summer is half way over and it just really means I'm getting older.

Xmas is more fun now because I have nephews who can do more than drool & poop. Holidays are definitely more fun when there are kids involved.
