What happens when you don't refrigerate hcg after opening? Just curious because first to cycles i didn't do it and i was wondering if that would have affected how much i could have keeped on after my cycle.

I am under the impression that room temperature after reconstitution will degrade HCG rather quickly.... IE make it useless... I have read that forever and from many different sources, so I just keep mine in the fridge! :)

You risk it spoiling on you and who wants to inject rotten placenta under your skin. You'll get sick or worse infections.

What is hCG?
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone that is produced by the placenta of a pregnant woman. It is detectable in the blood and urine within 10 days of fertilization and hence forms the basis of all pregnancy tests. Because human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is produced by the placenta, the presence of HCG in a woman's blood indicates that she is most probably pregnant. A pregnancy blood test or a pregnancy serum test measures the exact amount of the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), in the bloodstream.

After the fertilized egg implants, or attaches, to the inside of the uterus or other structure inside the mother, the levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) rise rapidly. The levels continue to increase throughout the first trimester of pregnancy and reach a peak 60 to 80 days after the fertilized egg implants. If you suspect any symptoms of pregnancy like delayed menstrual period, breast tenderness, pelvic pain, and irregular spotting or vomiting, you must get a pregnancy blood test done to confirm or rule out pregnancy.

eeeewwwww you made me look it up

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is found in pregnancy urine and in urine from some cancer patients. It is found in a variety of forms, whose concentrations have clinical importance. A highly active preparation of hCG from pregnancy urine has been obtained by a simple method of immunoaffinity chromatography using a monoclonal antibody (MAb) against beta-subunit hCG. The recuperation of hCG from urine extract by this procedure was 84.18%, with a purification factor of 19.78. The specificity activity of the obtained hCG was 9705.36 IU/mg. The preparation appeared homogeneous by SDS-PAGE, analytical gel filtration, and double immunodiffusion. The molecular mass was 40 kDa by gel filtration on Superose 12 HR. Molecular masses estimated by electrophoresis were 14.6 and 23.5 kDa for the α and β subunits, respectively.
