What else should I be using besides protein?

I'm looking to make major strength/mass gains this summer. I know that you should take a protein supplement such as a shake or a bar post-workout, but what other supplements can I take to aid me in reaching my goals? Besides 'roids.
 
Lots of Chicken, Turkey, Tuna, Steak, ect.... Along with lots of good clean carbs, your set, and training hard of course, mass and strengh will come. Supplements(besides whey) are a waste of $$$, IMO
