What do you tell the doc when Infected?

just looking for some "reasons" you would give a doctor when seeing them for an infection caused by an aas injection?

I've personally used the B12 injection excuse.

I had an infected quad. I told the Doc (actually the nurse) that the wife and I were "messing around" on the floor and a Christmas ornament hanger was embedded in the carpet and stuck in my leg. It was at Christmas time so that was a good one. They got a good laugh and I got my antibiotics.

A friend of mine told the Doc that he sat in the car seat of a car in the junk yard while he was trying to remove the speedometer...He said a wire stabbed him in the ass. The Doc told him to be more careful and gave him his antibiotics...No questions asked!

Tell him the truth you never lie to your doctor or lawyer thats a rule. Second you might hear why steroids are bad etc...... just nod your head and do what he says. He is there to help not to arrest you. Now look all the people that get OD on Xtacy, cocaine, etc.......... they never end up in jail, why should you if you have an infection

It's not always an issue of being arrested. If the doc puts it in his med file his insurance may use it against him in the future, ie heart problem, tumors etc. even though they have nothing to do with his AAS use.

thats why I used the B12 excuse and showed him a bottle of B-12 the got a lecture on proper intramuscular injections.

Yeah, I'm all for telling the doc the truth, except I have insurance and there's no way I'm telling them because i'm sure they'd use it against you in the future. I wasn't even comfortable when they drew my blood when I had the abcess drained. some good ideas there guys. I think everyone should know some of these excuses in case they have to see the doc. I see so many guys on here saying they think they have an infection, and they decide to wait and use heating pads, basically anything but seeing the doc, and that's crazy to me.

Spider bite. You'd be suprised at the amount of people that an emergency department sees with abcesses caused by spider bites.

Ugggg I work in an ER and saw 5 abcess last night alone. Got I hate that shit because most the people are all dirty as hell and they stink. But I would use an excuse because of the insurance reprocussions.

Not to mention you'll see them every day for the next few weeks to change the packing. Sounds like we have something in common. :)
