Lowfat Kefir Cultured Milk. It comes in a 32 Fl. OZ. container distributed by Lifeway. I actually enjoy the taste and could drink a few per day easily.

Here's how it breaks down nutrionally:
Servings per container: 4
Serving Size: 1 cup (240ml)

Protein: 14 Grams
Total Fat: 2.5 Grams
Sat. Fat: 1.5 Grams
Total Carb: 8 Grams
Sugars: 8 Grams
Sodium: 125mg
Calories: 110
Fat Cal: 20

A possible alternative to Protein Shakes???

even tho i have never heard of what u r talking about,it sure as hell ist an alternative to protein shakes, and why wouldnt u want to drink better protein?? protein suppls r one of the best protein sources u can supplement your self with. you can not get much better then whey isolate or concentrate or even ion ex. whey.

bottom line is: supplement your diet with more protein, what is the best way to do that...protein supps, drink up baby or stay a little baby..

Actually.. that sounds like a pretty good addition to protein shakes. You could either mix that in a blender with your shakes and get a more potent bang for your buck (assuming the cultured milk is cheaper than protein powder), or you could just grab one on the go and get a little pick-me-up. I think if you drank a bunch of those every day you'd end up not getting the results you wanted. There are 4 servings per container, and each serving has about 2.5 grams of fat, that's NOT bad. 2.5 x 4 = 10 grams of fat each container. 14 x 4 = 56 grams of protein per container. If the stuff is cheap.. why not use it in conjunction with your diet?? Believe it or not, protein powder alone isn't going to make you big... a clean diet that's high in protein and carbs will. The protein powder is just a supplement to your diet so you can make sure you get all the protein in one day that you can. If you can find an alternative way to getting that protein... more power to ya imo!!
