What do you do with a bee hive...?

I just looked at the side of my guest house. I have a huge mound of bees on the outside wall... a hive inside the wall.

What do you do with a bee hive...?

I'm assuming... :destroy:

If it weren't attached to a house, I'd light it up. A neighbor did that to an underground bees' nest once. Poured gasoline down the hole and tossed a match in. Then he ran. They were pissed. But it got rid of them I think.

Don't go spray it with Raid or anything. My dad did that once to a yellow jacket nest outside my house. Pissed them off a lot and they stung him a few times.

If there are any bee keepers in your area you could call one of them. They will often smoke them out for you. They get them in to another hive that can be carried off. Some people I know had a hive in a tree right by the drive way of a new house they had bought and that is what they did. Good luck to you

I've heard you need to wait til night to do any "home" extracting of a hive.

I'd be VERY leary of it myself. I'm a chicken!

Damn, killer bee's or honey bee's? Can you tell the difference?

If it's a wasp nest then you can buy some spray shit at the store that takes em out great. I just did this recently. ItT shoots like 20 feet so you can stand back. Also it says to do it early morning or early evening when they're less active.

If it's that big and into the house wall, ditto on the bee keeper.
Orkin won't do you any good IMO..
The hive needs to be moved, or they will just rebuild.

take a picture of it, photoshop it onto a tit, make it into an avathir, display it on EF, freak people out, have it removed by an admin

it's simple, you just plug all their escape routes at night while they are warming, and they die inside

My luck..They'd chew thru the walls and come inside my house!

It would depend on how it was worn on the head. Some women like to tease their hair and make it standup in a beehive shape.

My mom had a hairdo like that, and would use a can of hairspray every couple of days, but damn if that 'do didn't get noticed!

Try to knock as much of it as possible down,,, shoot some water down in there.. Then plug it up with some type of foam insulation that expands or shoot some insecticide to kill the rest of them that remain.
Wouldn't go using gas/wd40 cause it might burn inside the walls and your house as well.

i did this with a yellow jackett nest about 2 weeks ago, works like a charm, get up at like 2:30am and put a jar over it and knock it off, cap it and off you go

Eliminate the 'host structure' ... bulldoze your house.
