Anybody knew that China could easily use this as an excuse to take Taiwan, I'm not sure how desirous they may be of S. Korea. They should realize that we might have to allow a takeover of Taiwan but would not allow a takeover of both countries.

Too many of our politicians were funded by Asian business interests for one thing. They would scream blood murder.


Would Russia sit idly by while the U.S. and China devoured the greatest prizes available?


Will the U.S. be content with sacking Baghdad? Will the world allow us to simply assume control of their oil fields?

They knew/know damn well that we are not going to tuck our tail between our legs and retreat because they said to. They are creating a scenario to do something major. Taiwan would be the obvious bet. They may encourage N. Korea to engage S. Korea an a diversion.

If this is their plan, they will have to act quickly, after Badgdad is sacked we may not allow a takeover of Taiwan. Right now we are too busy. I would look for Chinese military movements to have already taken place.

If the Chinese are aligning themselves to take over Taiwan, I imagine we would keep this secret right now. The market would plummet and people would openly wonder why all this armed conflict started with this regime.

They would be smarter to make it look like a total surprise attack.
