What a week!

Went to the Estes Park Scottish/Irish Highland festival.

Indtroduced my parents to my tattoo artist.

Got a chanter to start learning how to play the bagpipes.

Took an 8 hour safety training course in Wyoming.

And I didn't come into work until 2pm today and am leaving at 5pm.

Just thought I'd share.

Sweet, maybe someday we'll terrorize the countryside with our piping.

Thanks, this is something I have wanted to do since I was a kid.

I saw a great t-shirt that I almost bought that said "Genetically predisposed to the sound of the pipes"

wtf is a chanter?

It's the sounding portion of the bagpipes. Kind of looks like a flute or recorder with a mouthpiece and finger holes. You use it to learn the notes and music before attempting to play the full bagpipes. Traditional school takes 5-7 years where you spend the first 3 with only the chanter.
