Went OFF on a telemarketer last night

Normally I dont get on their case but this time was different.

I asnwer the phone and he starts blabbering in Spanish. The caller ID shows it a telemarketer so I already know Im dealing with the lowest rung of the human ladder.

I ask "Why are you speaking Spanish". He asks for my girlfriend (she has a Spanish surname..)

So I ask again "Why are you speaking Spanish, WHAT COUNTRY ARE WE IN?"

he asks for my girlfriend again.. I say "Are we in Mexico or America?"

No answer. I say.. "do I need to ask you in Spanish?"

He says "her last name is Moreno...." I cut him off and say "oh just because she has a latino surname.. you automatically assume she speaks spanish? in spite of the fact we ae in America?"

He doesnt say anything. So I tire of my little game and say"put us on the do not call list." no answer.. I yell "PUT US ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST"

after calling him a dumb ass I hang up. Damn that felt good.

When are dumbfucks gonna realize that we are in America and that many people of latino decent dont even speak Spanish. Not only that but its just plain rude to call soemones house and start blabbering in their ear in Spanish without the courtesy of speaking in English first.

Imagine of some guy called your house while you were eating dinner and srated blabbering on in Polish just because there is a Polish minority in your neighborhood..

now imagine it happeneing three times a week in spite of repeatedly asking them to put you on the National DNC list.

Dude, look around you. More households speak Spanish then English in many southern cities. And it's usage is only rising. So stop fighting. Resistence is futile!!!

I refuse to assimilate to a culture that takes no pride whatsoever in ther communities. EVERYTHING they touch is trashed.

And I sure as hell am not going to make it any easier for them.
