Weak Bones

Hello

Can anyone help me out with what I can do for weak bones. When I walk my ankle bones click like mad. My7 other joints also click often especially my wrists, knees and back too

Im not much of a milk drinker, i usally only drink it in my coffee (and I drink loads of coffee so lets say if you add up the milk... about 1 glass :( - which i know its bad

But is there anything else I can do to strengthen my bones, ive heard the more muscle you build, the better it protects your bones but how true is this because Ive also heard that if you have too much muscle then your bones cant carry it (too heavy etc) please help

Much Appreciated

Thanks but...

"7 other joints" ?????????????????????????

Lifting weights will help bone density. Calcium carbonate supplements. Using soy milk in you protein shakes. Using tofu in your pastas and salads (or plain). It is my understanding that you've stored up all the calcium in your bones that you're going to store up by the twenties, and if you're deficient, then tuff
SH$%. That would leave only things to help you maintain density. Weight training is definitely one of them. Poping joints can be excess water/fluid flowing from one side of the joint to the other. Doesn't have much to do with bone itself.

Thanks for the reply :) but its definately the bone Ill try the other suggestions you had for me (soy milk in protein shakes etc)

Thanks Spat

weight training is the best thing that you can do along w/ a proper diet...as you get older you will start to lose more and more muscle mass and it will continue to get worse if you do not do something about it now!

Popping and clicking joints have NOTHING to do with bone density. Aside from that, caffeine interferes with calcium metabolism, so if you're worried about bone density (as all women should be) then you should ditch the coffee and take in extra calcium (even though this has nothing to do with popping and clicking joints).

"regular" soy milk (and tofu) does not contain Calcium.
So choose an enriched brand (Ca added)

you can try to eat a bit of your eggs shell (shells are made of Ca carbonate and it is bio available)
