Watching "The Game" right now.

One of the best and most creative movies made in recent history (although it was released in '97) No explosions, sex, etc, yet exciting as any movie could be.

Been a part of my collection for a while.

Who else agrees with me on this one?

I enjoy that movie very much. I very much like Fincher as a director - I have a few of his on DVD( Se7en, Fight Club, The Game, and Panic Room).

I watch that movie about once every month or two.

Same here. You could tell by Alien 3 that the man had potential, but since it was his first film he had to deal with a tired story and subpar script.
Im glad he is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Fincher, P.T. Anderson, David O. Russel are all underrated.

As is James Rebhorn, the actor.

I like the way P.T. Anderson's films look - but I haven't liked the plot of Punch Drunk Love or Magnolia. Love Boogie Nights though.
I loved both Three Kings and Flirting with Disaster. If the latter wasn't so that the clothes annoyed me so much, it would likely be my favorite movie.

I really like Spike Jonez (sp?) too.

Rebhorn frequently plays the same kind of character - but he is quite good at it.

Stop agreeing with me ya fricken yesman before I bash your kidney with a urinal stall.

But ya, Punch Drunk Love wasnt the greatest film in movie history, but it was entertaining in its own, quirky way. Only a few films have made me smile when I wasnt realizing it. PDL, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and a few others I forget.

And about Rebhorn, I feel that if he is offered a different type of role he would excel.

I wonder if the powers that be could change my EF handle to James Rebhorn?

it's good but the plot's a bit too well planned to be realistic...

True that when you think about it the movie is completely implausible, but thats where the direction and the quality of the script come into play.

I thought this was a thread about the world series.

Oh well, anyone see jeter start up the yankees rally in the top of the 8th? Its time for mariano!

"the game" sucked if you ask me,but the yankees will not be beat by small ball..put that in your notebook

All these were quality unique movies ... I didnt know they were all the same director.

The Game is one of the more underrated recent movies in my opinion.
