I've been watching lots of Star Trek and trying to interact with people more. That has made me realize what kind of shit world we live in. My girl was sitting for 12 hours in a hospital waiting room with a headache that had her writhing in utter AGONY just to see a doctor. You call that healthcare? We live in a country where our government rapes us in taxes, but nobody complains because they are all under the impression that they "get money back." What do we get in return for this tax raping? Nothing of value, really.

Maybe there were some people with more "serious" conditions. That is usually how it works in the ER. Ask some ER Docs and RN's......a headache is towards the bottom of the list.

I know, and I understand why that was. What I'm saying is that it shouldn't be like that. It's sad to see that we live in a world where there are so many serious conditions in a hospital on a Sunday afternoon that a patient with something so mnior as a stubbed big toe would have to wait 12 hours to see a doctor.

This is what I'm referring to when I say that the world is shit.
