Anyone that thinks that we shouldnt bomb civilians (eventhough they may have had a part in harboring the terroists) is ignorant. If you JUST kill the terrorist you will do nothing!! These people dont mind dying (remember the term suicide bombing). You have to kill civilians because thats the only way the people of these countries will stop harboring the terrorists. I agree that it is unfortunate.
I have said this before. These people are ruthless, they are not like you and me. If you kill all of bin-ladins followers (if he is responsible) but no one else, then another terrorist group will pop up and bomb us again. Terrorists dont mind dying. They think that dying for their effort sends them straight to heaven. So in fact, by killing them you make them martyrs and heros that others will follow.
However, there is a soloution. You kill everyone even remotely close to these people. Friends, business associates, family, neighbors. This will deter them. If you remember back when libya was a threat?? what did we do? we bombed the crap out of Qadafi and his home and his family. It is no coincidence that he hasnt said a word since.
