virus question

I've been getting emails today that say they are from microsoft.
They say

Support@microsoft: Your password
All information is in the attached file

[email protected] RE: Movie
All information is in the attached file

I've recieved 10 emails today. I haven't opened the attached file.
Is this a new virus going around?

I won't fuckin stop!!!!
I'm getting about 10 emails daily. I've blocked the sender, but it just sends from a different addy each time. Is there a way to stop these emails? I haven't opened the attached file.
I'll go back and read the acticle on it and see if it says how to stop this..

ah shit, i think i may be infected. i got it on outlook express, but didn't open the attachment. i think it downloads to your computer anyway if you're using outlook even if you don't open the attachment...??? is that right? what does this virus do?

I wouldn't think could get infected if you don't open the attached file. I'm using outlook also. I just got another email, that makes 15 today,

go download a spam filter (mcafee makes a nice and so does coffeecup software). the spam fighter will check your email server for mail and you can decide whether to retirieve them through your email client. trap all of the viral mail and delete them before you download to your machine.
