Verzion V. Cingular - BRAN?? Anyone?

Which would you reccomend? I need out of Sprint before I kill them....service is horrid. Who makes the best phone? Best service? K to you!

I just switched from Cingular to Verizon, after being locked in a 2-yr contract. ...best move I ever made. I could never get a signal w/ Cingular, regardless of where I was at. Text's and pic's sometimes took days to get delivered. ...just a huge pain in the ass.

...run by the library and check out the consumer reports from a few months ago. They rank the major wireless carriers in the top 15 markets, and Verizon was constantly at the top of the lists for signal strength, lack of static, etc.

I think it's hilarious which threads I get call-outs on.

OK, well I'm very happy with Verizon's customer service when you are in the store, when you call their 1-800 number, the quality/variety of their phone selection, and the quality of their service as far as getting a clear signal. The one thing I will say is that I'm not sure they are the cheapest, but they are definitely the best.

I also switched from Cingular, but years ago.

verizon is the way to go....cingular sucks and when they had their former name cellular 1, they robbed me blind...i would get a phone from them again.

recently got new service with verizon ... no problems whatsoever. verizon has a reputation for good coverage around here, maybe all over the US.

btw, these are service providers and don't make phones as far as i know, even if they rebadge. but of course, certrain providers will offer certain phones. both have the motorola razr, for example, although different versions, i think.

Best phone, anyone have a clue? I have a blackberry and as a phone it sucks. Need to get the bluetooth for it.

Cingular claims fewest "dropped" calls, but their area is smaller so go figure. Verizon is good, but I find their reception is more like a 2 way radio. Maybe the phone. Friend has Nestel and the phone is always clear, but coverage again sucks.

I had Sprint for all of 2 weeks. Dropped calls, lack of service, no outgoing analog at the time. Told them to shove it and moved to Bell which became Verizon.

I was with Cingular when they were Cellular One years ago. They suck a huge phat smelly ape cock.

Verizon is much better.

i have the razr v3c, which is what verizon offers. i wanted a cool-looking phone, and got it. it can be had for "free" (after about six+ months, when the last of the rebates can be submitted, depending on where you buy the phone/service from), although the initial cost (in my case) was 170.

Verizon.

Yes get the Razr. Great phone.. lots of features.. and I think only $100 now with 2yr contract. Maybe even $50.

The Razr has an acceptable camera, and a calendar, etc... but doesn't really come pre-loaded with much from Verizon. Not even a single game.

My one beef w/ Verizon is that they're pretty aggressive at marketing that stupid V-Cast to you. The owner's manual, and about everything else you get with the phone, is just a big commercial for it. Want ring-tones, wallpapers, or any games? ...gotta' go pay for them from v-cast. (of course, you can always get an overpriced connection cable and then find stuff on the internet...)

wow I've never seen such one-sided responses about two companies that are supposed to be close competitors... cingular would shit if they read this.

I switched from years of Cingular to Verizon when I moved to Atlanta & couldn't get cell reception in my apt mere blocks from the Cingular building here. It also dumped calls when I called from my basement - I dont know if its the hills in Atlanta or what, but I was always having calls dumped. Had excellent luck w/ Verizon.

I also recently got the LG phone that has the flip up piece & the full key board. Its been a good phone, easy to use but it sort of annoying to get email on. Also apparently you can't hook up to your AIM or Yahoo! Seems like every other phone on the planet can. Also they just recently came out w/ a nice little holster thingy for it.

I'm happy with verizon for the most part.

But no matter which service you choose you'll still get the androgen anger and wanna fucken shove it someone's ass when its not working adequately.

Puts on tin foil hat.....

All of my friends and family and customers sound great.

Most of the "strangers" adjusted their outgoing volume so loud that I have to hold the phone an inch away from my ear. They they say stuff like "can you hear me".

Cute....a recent occurrence in my years with cell phones.

This is stupid. You have the same problems with all service providers. I have cingular and in my apt building you can get reception, but with verizon you can't. That is why they have 2 week return policies, you see what works best for you.
