vacationing in egypt?

Anyone ever visit? I would like to go to see the pryamids and sphinx. Is it hard to manage over there if you only speak english? Has anyone gone before? Did you do a vacation package or your own?

I've never been there. You shouldn't have a problem w/ regard to speaking English. If you really want to go to that region, for safety reasons, I would go with a tour in lieu of going alone.

You see the Sphinxter all the time.

I know someone who went 2 years ago and alot of people speak English there. Getting around is not difficult. The tourist areas are safe. I wouldn't go outside after dark though..regardless of how jakked you are looking and how tiny they are.

The pyramids are defintely not going to last forever. They are in pretty bad shape now.
