US will be INVADED!!!

I am curious about something concerning the U.S Liberation of Iraq. Are we now not in material breach of U.N. Resolution 1441? Seems to me that Bush and his cronies were very resolute in the wording of 1441, and used this very exacting wording as the case to go to war. In other words, 1441 was Bush’s international authority to invade Iraq. And now, due to the lack of cooperation with the U.N., namely, not wanting weapons inspectors back in, we are now in material breach of 1441, and may come under “serious consequences” ourselves, as this resolution is specifically worded.

In reading the entire text of 1441, I could not discern in any part, the wording stating that Hussein must comply with this and that, only Iraq must comply with this and that. Seeing that the Bush administration, and the military are now supposedly in control of Iraq, it follows that America now represents Iraq, and “is” Iraq for all intents and purposes. So the refusal to allow weapons inspectors is a clear and flagrant material breach of 1441. Also, while our military is there, under 1441, we are required to list all WMD’s and ballistic missiles, including aircraft and unmanned aircraft, with a range beyond 93 miles, including those of our military. 1441 says nothing about the origin of such weapons, or ownership of such weapons, only it is illegal for Iraq to have such weapons within it‘s borders.

How can America refute that we are, essentially, Iraq? We tell the world that we are the only authority in Iraq, and we will insure a government is set up in Iraq. All rebuilding contracts are going to American companies only, and the oil ministry is to be operated by Americans. We oversee the police, and all other authorities, even if we must arrest someone who claims to be mayor of Baghdad. This seems to indicate that our present administration has complete control, and full responsibility over Iraq, as this administration has so vehemently claimed so often recently. So, the Bush administration, and the coalition of the billing, are Iraq, for any realistic purposes.

So it would seem, unless Bush and his cronies can either get 1441 rescinded, or show proof to the weapons inspectors and security council, with no omissions, of all WMD’s and other disallowed weapons have been destroyed within Iraq, which would now include our own weapons with a range of 93 miles or more.

We, America, are an outlaw nation, presenting a threat to the region, to the world, and to ourselves. Ain’t that a bitch, hung by our own devices?

my fault, china has already invaded. there's a chinese restaurant in every town and city.

seriously though, who would dare to invade? the populace has just as many guns as the military and law enforcement agencies. once people learned of a foreign invader we'd unite and form militias, i guarantee it. let's hope it's the french. :)

I FEAR THAT THE U.S WILL BE ATTACKED YET AGAIN. IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME.

That's exactly how your own leaders want you to feel. Your fear is their political leverage to do whatever they want and justify it. This includes destroying what they claim to "protect".

plornive is on the right track. keep people scared and tell them to elect their party memebers to protect you. brainwash them into thinking that only they care about homeland security and protection you. they are playing you like a fiddle. it's the current admin that will get us attacked again if anything.

oh?

remind me what clinton did to enhance our national security?

refresh my memory on what a good job he did in handling the numerous attacks against america?

didn't clinton give north korea the nuclear reactor they are currently using to build weapons?

wasnt the clinton administration the one that sold nuclear secrets to communist china and advanced their nuclear program by nearly 30 years?

do i need to remind you of what clinton did to the military during his reign?

should i rehash how he hamstringed our intelligence community?

do i need to remind everyone here that the democrats witheld monetary resources to our troops WHILE we were at war?

yeah, please keep on spewing your tripe. see how many people it fools.

people, you are looking at an example of how desperate the left is.

talk about grasping for straws. it's really a pity.

typical, going back to clinton. to repsond in as few words as possible, clinton did not sell anything to china. that chinese scientist spy(can't remember his name) was at fault but i do blame the government as a whole for not being more cautious. i know what clinton did to the military and i disagree with what he did. the democrats never witheld money to the troops(i want proof of these accusations). i will admit the clinton admin did'nt do it's job with national security but the bush admin is taking too far. would you prefer a police state or a free society? i'm not going to go into a comparison war between clinton and bush, but the current admin does seem the type to use scare tactics to sway people's vote in their direction. people should be more affraid of the economy than foreign invaders.

wait, we've already been invaded, the illigal mexicans have invaded and they are everywhere. what's bush going to do about that?

I don't think any leader will pass up an opportunity to gain political leverage and/or selfish interests. If Gore was elected Afghanistan would have been treated similarly and Iraq would have been subdued in a different way under a different guise. The goals are the same.

The media has always been looked at as a tool for political control. It's pretty obvious our major networks are biased in support of the policies of the federal government. This entails telling the public they are in danger in order to do what they want. They have a goal, they have a means --- we are seeing their means right now.

1. wrong. those technologies were sold to china. in order for a company to sell information like that, they must first go to the state department and get permission, which these companies did and received. you think clinton didnt give the OK for them to do that? hah! amazing how that happened. maybe it had something to do with the millions in illegal campaign contributions from communist china he received.

2. wrong again. yes they did. remember when they refused to pass a budget? military spending was included in that budget.

3. bush should stop pandering for the mexican vote and fucking deport them. i dont stand behind this in any way.

uh...do you read the new york times? how about watch cnn?

Don't forget the Murrah building ladies.

9/11 was the SECOND terrorist attack on US soil.

Yes and yes. Forget little Demicons vs. feisty Republicrats for a second and reallize that every nation's media is biased towards it's own federal government. People in the US are bombarded by the major networks more than people in most other countries.

EDIT: of course it's an entirely different story in the Middle East

as an american i can honestly say....HAHAHAHAHA!!

Any country with half of a brain would know that it needs the US more than the US needs it. if the US was attacked the world economy, which is now more linked then ever before, would collapse.

However, if we were attacked it would certainly make prime time TV more entertaining, i cant take these damn reality shows and boring sitcoms anymore!

America is invaded daily by thousands of immigrants.

We don't need to worry about being taken over from the outside, it happens from within everyday.

Everyday, someone hires an illegal alien or an H1b-visa worker over an American to save a few dollars. In time, this will undermine our economy and there will be revolution.

Revolution you say? You mean like riots and race wars?

No like schisms within the military, civil war and lots of killing.

I predict bazzillions will die in my effort to purge America of it's current government. We will go to a Codocracy, where all Codians will look to me to make their decisions for them.

it's about time someone mentioned all of the problems surrounding outsourcing and H1B visas.

i dont usually support regulation on business, but this is getting out of hand, and it is really starting to hurt american workers.

the number of H1B visas went from 32,000 to more than 300,000 in ten years.

the gao is currently doing a study on this and their findings will be published in septmber, and congress will be working on legislation following the report.

Are you referring to me? I'm not whining. Shit happens. I'm just looking at in objectively and trying to understand it. Do you have a consistent way of explaining how the political world works? Explain away. I won't even accuse you of whining.

You have been on the "Inside" Code! You will be sacrifice before your try for a Codocracy takes place!

I have an opening for 3 positions. I have roughly a thousand resumes in my inbox. A 1/3 of them are people either seeking sponsorship, are currently h1b workers or are illegally working in the US.

Nope, wasn't talking directly to anyone...It was just an observation on how every little thing the government does is wrong on this board. I don't know much about politics, so I can't comment on specifics, and I don't try.

Since politics is a game of interests with winners and losers, it is obvious people will clash. The best way to have a discussion is to try to explain a situation rather than state one's desires.

No we are not in control of iraq from a govt standpoint...We are putting together a council of MEN to run that country at this time

I want to bitch my ass off a little bit on this post.

Being in the service I was on an aircrew that was constantly flying for the sake of the officers on the crew getting experience so they could work at Delta. They would fly for 14 hours straight with no mission, and full throttle while tilting the aircrarft so it would burn up the gas. No, it was not to make landing weight, there certainly was gas wasted just because officers wanted the same amount of money the next quarter.

I also deployed to an airforce base that for no reason at all, spent money to relandscape and repave the parking lot of the commissary.

Everybody knew it was all intentional waste to justify large budgets. Those who think that Clinton was responsible for making a weaker military can stop. Sure Republicans send more money to the budgets of the military for more waste, but that isn't everything.

Anyone making a big deal out of the budget cuts made to the Veterans Administration by the current administration. Well, as a disable veteran I'm feeling it. You know here in Chicago the downtown VA hospital is closing to save money. To make this is even worse, Northwestern hospital who owns the property the VA hospital is on, is offering the VA free rent to try to save the hospital. Still it's not flying.

As a disabled Veteran I would also like a state job. They would allow for my frequent medical appointments more so than the private sector. Problem is there is a hiring freeze right now for the state. I applied for 10 state jobs and took the tests, ALL of which I got an "A" on. Still, I'm not getting no job. With record state and federal deficits, ain't nothing like a tax cut to further affect what money is available to the government. But, I sure am glad for those who get tax breaks on their dividend payments.

Don't let me get started on the stem cell issue and how much more advanced they are on multiple sclerosis overseas. Anybody ever take the birth control pill? The egg that won't be able to attach itself to the uterus is a stem cell. This is how birth control pill works. But, god forbid if we use that stem cell for research. Yeah, that's right George limited the stem cell research to the point that researchers are having a hard time getting access to stem cell lines. Keep the Christian Right happy at the expense of me possible recieving a cure from that research.

I save every article I find about how this administration "bamboozles" the public. But, I guess it's okay with everyone because George Bush is a man's man. He looks great in a flight suit. Too bad the bitch was UA for a whole year. Maybe I'd bite, but no.

I will never ever be anti-american and nobody better try shit with this country. I still know that the sum of everthing this nation does is positive within the world. But, this is a dark time in US history because of Bush and the assholes he puts in positions of power.

Part of me says thanks and part of me says, what the fuck is that supposed to mean. But, this is the internet so I understand why you're saying that.

You should take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt. It still doesn't change my life experiences or the way I feel.

2. don't point fingers, show me proof?

Ratheon was the company that sold the missile technology to China. Clinton doesn't own that company. It was long range missile technology.

That Chinese American scientist was cleared of the other accusations of espionage as I see that somebody mentioned him.
