It does not matter what people on the board say! We follow the Geneva Convention! War is hell! There are rules to War however! Those that don't follow them are doomed to lose in the end!

I can't wait till I am over there. I will fucking kill every goddamned Iraqi soldier I come in contact with. Unless the stupid prick surrenders or can no longer fight. But, as for mercy, it is time to start acting like Spartans and Roman Soldiers.
We need to widen the area of bombardment in Baghdad, and start dropping Moab's by the dozens on that city. This fucker wasn't supposed to have scuds he does and has used them. He was not supposed to have tacticle ballistic missiles he does and he uses them. He was not supposed to have wmd's but we have found them.
Annihlate that fucking country!
My only regret is that we went at them with 1:2 odds. We should have at least done it with 1:1 or 2:1 odds. And we should have wiped out every podunk city along the way with aerial bombardment, days of howitzer attacks, etc. Then send the troops in.
Other than that, this may take 6-12 months I fear.

They are using ground troops this early, IMO, the be more precise and minimize civilian casualties.
In my personal opinion, I would rather see Iraqis die than American soldiers, so I would prefer more bombing...but thats just me.

What pisses me off the most is that Iraqi officials are claiming that the soldiers they have captures were deserted by their divisions.
I have not served yet, but it is my understanding that in the American military nobody gets left behind. It seems they are just trying to add insult to injury.

They took a wrong turn and got surrounded! Although they were solders they were a maintenance crew! They are trained for maintenance not combat! They were not hardend soldiers! They were not prepared for there final outcome! Supply line was just to long to provide protection for them! Al-jeezera is getting bad as Iraqi televison and the Iraqi information ministry!

Yes, there is a pattern and depending on the caliber of the weapon. Also, there will be a powder burn that will be in a wider pattern, as the muzzle of the weapon is further away.As far as them and the Geneva Convention. Are the even signed up in agreement with it?

I'm not defending anyone here, but how the USA and it's like wage war is very Eurocentric.
The Geneva Convention is something European and Western nations agreed to.
We've known since Korea that Asian and Middle Eastern nations don't subscribe to it. I think out troops should already know that if captured by the Iraqis, they can expect to be tortured and executed.
That we are humane to POWs is our choice, not some compulsion on both sides.
