I posted a thread about 3 weeks ago when after I moved into my dorm with my new roommate, I figured out that my roommate was a pothead, and since I don't smoke, I knew that we were going to have a problem.
Well, since then, my roommate was buying weed from this other guy in my dorm and they were doing their transaction right in my doorway with a bunch of people around who saw it. Well, somebody reported this to the RD and the next day, Campus Safety busted into my room and searched our room. They found of bunch of weed on my roommates side along with bongs, pipes and other accessories. They also took a bunch of pictures of his stuff and his posters on the walls that have references to weed.
Now after this happened, I would have thought that he would have been scared and would have taken it easy on the weed for a while, but he did it even more. Even after a 300$ fine that the school gave him.
At the beginning of the year, I told my roommate that I was not going to allow him to smoke weed in our room. I don't need to put up with that. And so when I came back to my room last saturday, the room totally smelled of weed, my fan was blowing out my window at full blast, and there was a towel rolled up right by the doorjam. He had also left his pipe with a bunch of weed sitting on a piece of paper out on his desk. After that, I finally said enough is enough, I went and told my RD that I wanted my roommate out of the room. I don't have to put of with that.
So now, if one of the RA's or the RD don't catch him doing anything this weekend, I am going to meet with my RD and the assistant dean of students and tell her all of the stuff that has gone on. And it's not like it was just those 2 isolated incidents. His clothes make the room smell like weed all the time. He has a bunch of druggies who hang out in the room. It's a lot of small things on top of all the big things.
So next week, if he isn't caught this weekend, is going to meet with him and tell him that there have been complaints about him and he has to move to a different dorm. He is also going to get and additional 500$ fine.
Now, the only problem I forsee here is that he is going to be pretty upset about the fine and having to move out, so he is going to want to do something to me, or break my stuff, or steal my stuff. I was told that he would have 4-5 days to move out but that will be a problem. If he has that much time to stew around in the room, he going to want to do something to me. I am not afraid of him, but I can't defend myself while i'm sleeping.
What do you guys recommend that I do so I can be sure that he doesn't try and damage my computer and stuff or try and physically harm me? Thanks for the help guys. Iron
