Perhaps it's just that this subject hits rather close to home, but this story was disturbing on various levels. A 15 year old 8th grader comes out of the closet and is subsequently blown away AT SCHOOL by a 14 year old!

Now, I owned up at an early age (i.e. 17), but the 8th grade? And now you can get blown away for that kind of thing by a 14 year old while you're at school?! WTF? He must have gone to a public school. Thank God (and mom and dad) I didn't.

You figure the parents would of told the kid not to dress like a girl. What they think was gonna happen? Nothing but bad could only come from him being openly gay like he was. Not saying it was right but not smart.

Neal Cavuto talked about this last week; he was all upset that we should just "let kids be kids" and not talk about sexual differences and tolerance. If this kid HAD been educated about diversity then this shooting might have been avoided.

I'm all for letting "kids be kids" but what kinda inbred raises a kid to think that it's ok to kill someone who's different from you, and then goes on to leave a fucking gun lying around so the little monster can actually do it!

They're charging the kid as an adult. It sure would be great if he got the death penalty because, well, if you're ready to commit premeditated murder at 14, you'll do just about anything by the time you reach adulthood. But I'm not sure what state this happened in. Probably happened somewhere like CA, where the maximum sentence for murder 1 is an anger management class and clean-up detail at the local recycling plant.

here he'd be in TDC juvenile until he turned 17, then shipped to a regular unit. He'd either begiving his ass up to Bubba and the boy's or die, his choice. he'd do a minimum of 25.....
