Ken fought a war with Don Frye (which he lost) not too long ago.
I don't think Ken has what it takes anymore to finish Tito.
The wildcard of course is Tito's knee and Ken's fondness for leg locks.
Should be a fun fight

why is ken fighting tito? i thought his brother frank was the one in his wieght class. either way it should be awesome. im gonna go with ken on this one even though he's past his prime, i think he's stronger and can stand toe to toe if need be. plus his ground skills are better i think.

Frye is tough, but past his prime. An upcoming match in Pride with Coleman could be interesting.
Tito Ortiz is the Light HeavyWeight Champion (205). Ken generally weighs a bit more than that, but they both cut weight like madmen.
I think Tito has superior wrestling skills (relative to NHB fighting). He manhandled a world class wrestler in Matushenko (sp). He is also very skilled at using the fence as a weapon. I see the fight going to clinch. Takedown, press to the fence and then look to open a cut.
Ken may be able to get a leg lock (he got a solid one on Frye, Don just refused to tap). But I think Tito has too many tools.
I kind of hope I am wrong. Would definitely make the light heavyweight division more interesting.
Manny - they do restrict certain kinds of strikes. throat, eyes etc.

Plus a shoulder injury has kept me from lifting for the last month and a half...no lifting at all. I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. No pics right now...sorry. No scanner. Maybe I'll post an updated pic after I get back into lifting shape and get my weight up a little more.

I like Shamrock simply because all wrestlers kick ass in imo. There is no way Tito could beat Ken and everybody likes Tito just because he has a different name. If his name was Joe Smith we wouldn't even be talking about him.

i dont know but who has tito fought that is heavier and stronger(ken is all muscle and cockstrong) by this amount. i think ken will come in at about 215, which is what he weighed for the frye fight. i just think tito will be overpowered, we'll see. it ought to be good either way.

Ken looked like he was on crack the last time I saw him fight- Tito will kill him. He is over the hill. Frank Vs. Tito was an amazing fight- one of the best of all time IMHO. Frank is so much better than Ken, plus Ken looks like a total jack ass. Shit, maybe I should watch what I say- he lives in the same city as me....what I meant was Ken is a real bad ass! Yeah thats it! hehe.

You obviously don't watch UFC or any MMA's. Ortiz is in his prime and Shamrock is passed his. I'm a fan of both fighters but I have to side with Ortiz on this fight.

Personally I think Tito is the stronger wrestler. So far no one has been able to stop his body lock takedowns. That includes a world class wrestler.
Tito is a heavy duty weight cutter too. I think he walks into the ring pushing 220. So come actual fight time, I don't think there will be much of a difference.
I don't think Ken doesn't have a chance. But I think that in most areas Tito has the advantage.
