I've never actually seen pride but I hear it's pretty good. At least it's better than the current UFCs. The old UFCs are much better than the new. I recommend 8, 10, 15, 14, 6, 3 - in order of how much I liked them

Pride "generally" puts together better cards, but lately they have been littered with mismatches and one sided beat downs.

UFC has been consistantly more competitive matches of late.

Silva is a pride fighter.

Not sure about MacDonald. I have never seen him in the UFC, if that helps.

Silva did fight in the UFC a ways back.Vitor Belfort knocked him out in about 30 seconds.But I think since then he has gone on a rampage entirely with Pride.Not sure on the McDonald person.

I've been watching a lot of pride lately, i just bought the tournament they had with Royse gracie and i realized how boring he really is. Granted his style is the guard, but i'd rather they break them up when they reach the ropes and get inactive like they do in shootfighting... makes it more interesting for the average fan.

Royce has become more boring over time as individuals have learned to recognize the submission attempts and can neutralize. Royce doesn't have a active guard, like Minotauro does. Mino is always going for submissions and moving to force the action. Royce just waits for a mistake.

Royce has the 'old' style of BJJ.It's terrific for street-fighting,but boring to watch in the NHB matches where opponents are familiar with the style and can avoid moves.It's a 'wear the opponent down over the long haul'type of style,which is about all he can do,because he is very frail.If you've ever seen him against non-cross trained individuals(pure-stylists)he is lethal.His brother Rickson has a much more aggressive style as well.Back in the days when there were no time limits/rules,these guys mangled everyone.

fuck he has all a great fighter needs to fight in that kind of fight: agressivity,strenght,ground technicals,powerful punches,kicks,knees,elbows... I'd dream to possess half of his quality on a ring...

Pride is better. I don`t even like UFC anymore.

I don`t really like watching Ryoce fight either... Never have. Sakuraba is the MAN! Catch wrestling is much more fun to watch than BJJ.
