What's the ROI?

oh Arabian.

OH MY GOD

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE DON'T DO THIS TO ME.

I can't handle it anymore.

"THEY" just raised the price of a barrel of oil $2 today?

yes, the policy of OPEC is a determinant of what the market takes into consideration as far as current supply and demand, but the price of oil is determined in a FREE MARKET.

And the price of oil fluctuates $2 almost every day. The price is down over 20% from the highs this summer. So does that mean "THEY" have lowered the price $15 since this summer? No. it's a free market. the market sets the price.

Anthrax last I heard the war was costing $250MM/day so that would be $1.75 billion/week. but that was months ago, I'm sure the costs keep rising. amazing.

soooo...what happens when people with a lot of money (a lot of other peoples money, really) influence the market by pumping or reducing demand for a product when they see fit? (ie oil futures or whatever)

then THEY potentially make a killing :verygood:

It could have used to feed the African children so they would live few weeks longer.

Maybe there are other alternatives?

With this enemy? I think there is only one thing they'll understand.
No, either don't go there in the first place or do it efficiently (I think it was Powell who wanted to send more troops in the early stages and avoid the Vietnam like trap, but the administration did not follow)
