TuNa can be Fatal?

The word on the street is that the level of mercury being found in tuna is higher than ever~and people should eat no more than 1 or 2 cans a week.

Tuna is like my main powermeal~i usually eat a can per sandwich....5 a week on average...am i gonna accumulate high mercury levels in my body, or is this just another thing my parents are telling me to get me off of my protein splurge?
 
i wouldn't worry too much about the mercury in tuna, there are specific fish that you should not eat more thatn 1-2 times per week due to the mercury.
 
Alot of people on these boards eat alot of tuna, and I don't remember anyone ever reporting mercury poisoning or any signs of it. So I wouldn't worry about it.
 
The mercury contained in fish is mostly concentrated in the liver as well as in the fish's fat. Seeing as canned tuna has very little or no fat I wouldn't worry too much about it.
