personally -- i don't donate to any cause unless some 3rd party organization can audit them and tell me what % of the profits actually go to the cause. There's a lot of opportunist agencies poppin' out overseas trying to cash in on this tragedy. Including the foreign governments and rebels.

Each Charitable organization in the US is required to undergo public audit and publish there donation to administrative costs ratios. The Salvation Army is the best @ around 90 cents out of every dollor going directly to charitable activity and the United way is the worst @ about 5o cents out of every dollar going to charitable activity.

If people knew the salaries of the CEO's and VP's of _charitable_ organizations in this country -- they'd be outraged.

I think Micheal Moore should do an expose of just _how much_ of that Live Aid money REALLY went to starving africans. If only people knew....
