here I was walking the 1 mile round trip to the post office to drop off my deliveries for the afternoon and avoid any undue law enforcement exposure
thinking about how I've been through the valley of the shadow of death (at least twice)
interestingly one of my packages was a near mint august 1960 issue of national geographic
I have a whole box of nat geos near mint with maps and listed about 8 on amazon when I was Like "fuck this"
and I thought to myself well maybe someone would appreciate getting the odd issue or two they need to fill out their collection
so I told myself well if one sells I'll put up some more
today got an order for that august 1960 issue from some guy in Vero Beach Florida
printed out the address label and on the way
when I returned from ym walk I was filling in the shipping info for amazon
typically for lower priced items I don't waste the 85 cents for tracking, that's a beer!
figuring if they burn me, have it
so what I do then instead of actual tracking numbers I'll type;
shipped03212012
so they know it's on the way
with my mind though I though instead of "ship" I'll use a different term to produce a chuckle for what I assumed was a USN submariner
a different breed
did a quick search and settled on " fucking airdale 3/21"
culled from this;
Airdale, airedale - Naval aviator, aka 'BROWNSHOE'. Can also refer to any member of the aviation community, officer or enlisted. From envy, often modified by non-aviation types with the adjective "fucking".
Naval Terminology, Jargon and Slang FAQ
then I thought I'd better search "Triton Submarines" Vero Beach, FL
to be sure I'm not offending him
and most links are disabled
but this;
