How is ops management going? I want to get into operations after graduation and i havent taken that class yet so if you could tell me all about it that would be great.

sorry, just saw this thread...

actually just had my last class in it today.....one of my favorite classes to date. The class I took studied a lot of inventory techniques specifically focusing on the just-in-time or leaner manufacturing that is became so popular because of toyota.

other topics included a lot of logistics, supply chain mgt, as well as linear programming and hopefully you remember your stat classes as you'll use it a lot

interesting stuff though...best of luck

they were quick to adopt it, but as far as i know it began w/a toyota employee who talked them into letting him use the concept on a small area of the mftg plant and then spread quickly throughout the firm once they saw how successful the cell was performing from running so lean
