Tren and the thyroid

I was always under the assumption that Tren increased the thyroid. Now I'm reading that Tren lowers the thyroid. How so????

there is no conclusive evidence that tren lower thyroid, though some progestins have been found to lower TSH. and Stanzolol has been found to reduce thryoid binding globulin (though with no changes on free thyroid- though lower total t4/t3)

Well, that is what I have been reading as of late. Hence the reason why Tren causes a rise in prolactin. And its because of the decrease in thyroid causeed by Tren. Anthony Roberts has it on his steroid profiles. It clearly states that Tren lowers the thyroid.

well there is no real clear evidence to back that statement. Though progestins certainly do have the ability to impact thryoid production associated factors (TBG, TSH, THR). So not sure what that is based on.

Anthony is wrong, again. I need to write a book on aerospace engineering because then I'll be an expert on it.
Again, the thyroid is regulated by body temp and blood volume. Tren does not lower either. So it's not likely to affect T3/T4 is it?

ouch!

But progesterone is needed to control the thyroid. I read that low that P levels. You would be cold all the time. And you would get fat. Raise that P and you get hotter and sweatier and you lose fat. But now I'm reading that too much P will lower your thyroid.

Progestin

therein lies the differential. Think of it this way, tren is to progesterone as tamoxifen or clomifen is to estrogen because it has mixed agonist antagonist activity. Also keeping in mind that there is the non-genomic binding factor.

I read somewhere earlier today that it would be a good idea to take natural progesterone ( creams ) with progestin to counterbalance the sides of progestin use. True or false?

possibly, though thats a real tricky area (as some progestins increase progesterone synthesis)
