Ok so simple question
How many of you guys/girls listen to trance/house/Drum and Bass/Progressive/Jungle?
How many of you actually know what half of those are? ;)
Now that Im at college Im finally meeting a few more people who are more into this kind of music, so I figured id ask on here.

Oh and BTW, for those of you who do listen to this stuff. I saw Ferry Corsten the weekend before last, best show Ive ever been to period. Cant wait to see AVB in a few weeks!!!

I'm all about the house. Not too keen on Dn'B or the trance though, but it's ok. If you haven't noticed it's all about the metal/punk here. That's what my girlfriend likes. We have a 25 cd changer that's always on "random". Makes for very interesting listening at our house

I'll throw on a drum and bass, ambient, or trip hop track every once in a while.

D&B is great when your in the mood for it
About a month ago i went to the 11th anni of a club in DC called Buzz
Dieselboy spun for about 4 hours. Awesome time, really enjoyed him.

By the way
for any of you who are interested, or have just never heard trance
www.tranceaddict.com
go in there and download some of the live sets they have, under music
Completely free, no sign ups or anything
great sets by the top dj's such as tiesto, paul van dyk, Armin van buuren, Ferry corsten, Gabriel and Dresden, etc etc

I used to like the ambient (FSOL, Omicron, Human Mesh Dance, Humate etc) and jungle (what sounds like d&b does now) back in the late 80s/early 90s. I can't believe Buzz is still around ?!? I grew up in DC. Is that record store on Mst NW still there? Used to be called Smile and a guy who looked like the Fine Young Cannibals ran it? There also was a deep ambient shop in Arlington (of all places lol). I'm glad people still like trance. Trance is good. Trance is love. My son (who incidentally was named sasha after sasha and digweed) likes "electronica" as he calls it and craves analog synths. It's all good, son. The beat goes on ;) I like Shpongle, Younger Brother, and other Simonetica now. But Sasharawkz is right, it is a lot about the metal/punk on elite, because the sounds of traditional music, and the harmonic structures, are much easier and creative for the musician or synthetic fan. (i.e. it's hard to keep trance from getting stale musically.) For god's sake, look what's happened to Namlook. Now he just numbers his midi farts.
