training freq. on gear

Hi!

What're you opinions about training frequency while on gear, i've found that when i train naturally i need about 5 days to recover otherwise i'm weaker in the last training session.
but while on gear i feel ready to go again after 2 rest days, however i think that's too little so i always take one more day before working out the same part again....
my strength goes up from this so i guess it'd be ok, but i'd like some input anyway...

thanks

everyone's different..

some people follow the 1 bodypart per week routine...

i do a 4/1 split..

d1 - chest/tris
d2 - legs
d3 - back/bis
d4 - shoulders
d5 - off
back to d1

4/1 is a good split.
i do the same but instead i do

d1 - chest/bi's
d2 - legs
d3 - back/Tri's
d4 - shoulders
d5 - off
back to d1

sometimes i hit it hard and take two days off then back to d1.
sometimes i do 5/1

d1 - chest
d2 - legs
d3 - bi's/tri's
d4 - shoulders/calves
d5 - back
back to d1

I started a workout similiar to a friend of mine who is a powerlifter and I feel like I have a lot more energy by splitting it up this way:

D1-chest
D2-back
D3-off
D4-shoulders/legs
D5-bis/tris
D6-off
D7-off
If I for some reason missed a workout due to working late then my makeup day is D6(Saturday).

Mine is :

monday: thighs & calves

Tuesday: chest & shoulders

Wednesday : day off

Thursday : Back & hams

Friday : bi's & tri's, forearms.

Saturday & sunday off.

For a bulking cycle:

Monday: chest, bi's--8 sets total per bodypart of 4-6 reps (maximal weight)
Tuesday: back, tri's--same
Wednesday: Shoulders, legs
Thursday-repeat monday's workout
Friday--repeat tuesday's workout
Sat, Sun--off
Monday--Wednesday's workout, etc.

I used to do the same 4/1 as Decem, now I do a 5/2 with weekends off:
1) Legs/abs
2) Chest/tri's
3) Back/Bi's
4) Shoulder's calves
5) Legs/Abs

I'm experimenting with frequency on legs to see what happens. I'm a firm beleiver in one body part per week, but many say to cycle intensity, frequency, and volume. It doesn't make sense to me so that's why I'm experimenting with leg day.

To answer your question, I too feel like I can train more frequently when on. I wouldn't go nuts though, why risk overtraining. I would only cut my rest time down by a day at the most.
