TRAINING DAY --the video-- ALTERNATIVE ENDING

I didn't have the alternative ending on my video. Has anyone seen it? How did it end?

Since no one else has answered your question, AA, I will.

As far as I could tell the ONLY difference between the "alternate" ending and the final one was that the older crooked cops show up at the end to observe Denzel's death.

It's not a very credible idea, and since it's been ages since we've even seen or thought about these characters, I think they were right to cut out the scene and just end with the young cop going home.

But the change is very small. They just cut a few shots. Also, they may have used a couple of different angles during Denzel's death scene but I think that's about it.

As mentioned with the Three Wise Men showing up at Jake's house the morning he gets home. They inquire about the money Alonzo had gotten from the Roger's house. Jake replies that he turned it in as evidence - pissing all three of them off.



Pretty lame.

And that bitch that was at the house where they served that "warrant" was just ghetto typical. Did ya see those nails?

And don't bother mentioning Macy Gray (Canton, OH's best National Anthem singer)... I wanted to kick my screen in when she popped up in that scene.

As an alternate ending - I would have liked to see the one Bloods gang member who drew down on Alonzo take him out, street justice as it were (what's wrong with street justice?).

And as for the rest of the Rampart team (which this movie was based on) - nothing was ever said. One would assume the three wise men disbanded/killed them.

Overall - a very good movie (mostly because of the character departure taken by D. Washington).
