Training after gyno surgery?

Came back from the doc today and he told me I healed very quickly. He also said i can start going to the gym today and begin a modified workout. It's only been a week since my surgery, anyone know if its safe to go out and train? I feel fine, my chest has no bruising whatsoever and the right side is a bit swollen. I told him, most don't get back to the gym till 3-4 weeks afterwards and he said well most don't get surgery done by me. Any ideas?

Might as well play it safe and wait. By the way, any scaring going to take place or can't you tell that you even had the surgery?

well he took off the stitches today.. a total of 3-4 stitches were put on each side, so the incision was really small.
From what I can tell so far is that my left side will have absolutely no scarring. The right side might have a small scar, but so small that either it'll fade or just be virtually unseeable. If it does scar bad (which i doubt) i'm gonna do some N-LiTe on it and microdermabrasion.

Kool! So you had it on both sides? I'm asking because I believe I now have a touch of gyno on my right side and want it taken care of. Nice to know that I'll be able to get back to training within a few weeks, too.

TAKE MORE TIME OFF

i started lifting about a week and a half after surgery and ended up with a blood clot busting in my chest and had to be taken to the emergency room.i would waight and make sure it heals properly for a few weeks . better safe than sorry.

okay here is what I did. I was back in the gym within a week after my surgery. I stayed away from all barbell and dumbell work for my upper body and no chest work at all for about a month. I pretty much just did a girlie circuit style training on the machines. I dont know if it really did anything but it made me feel better until I could lift heavy again. No, I did not have any problems either.

Also, FYI dont be fooled into thinking now that you had the surgery that the gyno can't come back. Always, use anti e's with your cycles.

thanks for the responses..
Bigp3: The whole glands weren't removed, so i'm definately using anti-e's throughout from now on..
Thanks again.
