Topical Finasteride

Singleton

New member
Is there a benefit to using topical finasteride?

Finasteride blocks the enzyme that turns T into DHT. This enzyme is 5-alpha reductase II (5-ar II).

Blocking 5-ar II can help prevent hair loss.

Would applying it directly to my scalp have a more localized effect? If so, how does it work?

i've wondered about this myself. you'd think if it worked Merck would have exploited this so it must not, but why?

bump.

where have you found topical finasteride???

i think the way it works (reg fina) is that it not only blocks dht receptors in your hair follicles but also has a "halt" command on your testosterone or dht creation in the testicles

Fina is finaplix, or tren.

Finasteride is a 5arII blocker. 5arII converts T to DHT. Can I block this only on my scalp? Does it even work? Where is 5arII produced?

As for where to buy it, I was dissolving 1.25mg finasteride in 1ml minoxidil solution.
