Because it's easier, and cheaper than hiring writers to come up with a quality TV show. That's also the reason why I rarely watch TV anymore.

My thoughts exactly. Basically any reality show now....Why?

I'd rather shove flaming railroad spikes into my eyeballs than watch one episode of Dilapidated Island.

Its like, it's even more lame than Survivor because they stole both the characters AND the "Survivor" theme.

My only hope - that Japanese soldier who hasn't realized WWII is over is still on the island....
